Regular comparison of the resource model, the grade control model and processing data shows where the model systematically over- or under-states tonnes, grade or metal.
How
It requires consistent periods, common boundaries and transparent accounting for ore loss and dilution. Without a mine geology reporting system, reconciliation becomes a one-off exercise.
Outcome
Reconciliation findings feed back into the model: domains, interpolation parameters and classification are refined.
